Tylette Newkirk is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who provides individualized, mental health treatment for individuals,(ages 8 and up), couples, and families. Ms. Newkirk also specializes in treating alcohol and other drug issues as a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC). She has experience working with a variety of issues including mood disorders, trauma, addictions, relationship issues, anger management, confidence building, and women’s issues. Tylette received her M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University and also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from South Carolina State University.
Tylette focuses on helping people reconnect with their strengths and inner resources in order to improve their overall quality of life. She believes that everyone deserves a F.R.E.S.H. start and seeks to provide a safe, therapeutic environment for her clients.
Tylette is currently pursuing national certification for Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) in order to address negative symptoms of traumatic events for children ages 8-18. When she is not seeing clients, she enjoys arts and crafts, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
